NavAlert

NavAlert is an e-mail alerting tool for Symantec AntiVirus. It remotely fetches the logfiles for Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition, and sends out e-mail notifications with details about the host, and a link to more information about the virus or trojan it has caught. Here are some notable features:

• e-mail notification when Norton detects something new on a host that has not been seen in a configurable number of days.
• Automatic WINS and DNS lookups for when NAV does not log an IP
• Automatic portscan via NMAP attached to the e-mail alert
• Includes a URL to Symantec's AntiVirus database for the particular virus, trojan, or backdoor
